Parish Picnic

24 May Pentecost Sunday—Parish Picnic

You are invited to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Old St Mark’s. There will be a combined service at 9am. Following this will be a history talk, informal guided walk through the cemetery with a display of historic photos in Old St Mark’s. There will also be games and a parish picnic. The parish will supply a chicken and salad lunch, drinks etc for the picnic.

We ask all members of the parish to bring a dish to share at the picnic. A sign-up sheet for the picnic will be available. Please state on the sheet the type of food you will bring to help us with catering. (The parish will cover the cost of ingredients).

History item – George and Ann Gomersall donated the land for the church burial grounds first used between 1880 to 1900.This land is also the site of the church built in 1900-1901. The Gomersall’s also provided the material to build the church.
